April 24 is National Children's Preventive Inoculation Day and the theme of this year is that preventive inoculaion is security to health. Preventive inoculation is an important way to keep children health. This year is the 30th year that China carries out immunity program. In order to implement the spirit that "the range of national immunity program should be broadened and 15 infectious diseases such as hepatitis A and idemic encephalitis which are could be effectively prevented by inoculating" mentioned by Premier Wen Jiabao at the Fifth Session of the Tenth National People's Congress, Shanghai would put noncellular Dpt vaccine, MMR vaccine, hepatitis vaccine and idemic encephalitis A+C group vaccine into the first kind of vaccine in the immunity program of the city and groups of the right age will receive free inoculation and the range of people to have free hepatitis B vaccine inoculation will be broadened, which is an important work to help common people more.

In order to enhance awareness of all classes and citizens to children's prventive inoculation, at April 26, our center held a themed propaganda activity that is "creeping competition of healthy babies on April 25 National Children's Preventive Inoculation Day" in Changning public health center.

The acitivity was held by Disease Prevention and Control Center of Changning co-organized by Shanghai Hotline and Parentage Club. The propaganda service included propaganda ,consulting and lectures about knowledge of children's immunity and prevention, propaganda and consulting about prevention and cure knowledge of infectious diseases and children's health care,answers from pedologist to questions asked by citizens, health examination of children growing and physique and qustion-answer with rewards activity among parents.

Many parents were attracted to take part in the activity with their children. The baby creeping competition was so interesting that people laughed a lot. More than 50 lovely babies 6 months to 18 months old crept along the course which was specially made from Shanghai to Beijing by way of Tianjin and Qingdao meaning "going to the capital to welcome the Olympics". The part for child growing and physique examination was crowded and parents consulted pedologist about breeding children one after another. They also took part in rewarded question-answer about health knowledge happily. Some of them read posters and propaganda materials carefully and exchange expriences about breeding child actively. In the ative atmosphere at the spot, parents got further knowledge and recognition about the importance of preventive inoculation and child health care. In the end, Ge Min, vice chief of Changning Health Bureau awarded these babies getting champions.
