Highly emphaised by the government of the district, activity of 2008 "Consolidate the Barrier-Free Zone of Cataract" in Changning started formally.  

3. Object of the Operation: cataract patients, long-term residence in the district, born before 1939 (1939 included) and the best corrected visual acuity of eyes lower than 0.3

IV. Operation fees:

(1) As to patients paying by themselves, the hospital would have loving care operation and the government would give total allowance for the operation fee, RMB 4,000 Yuan.

(2) Patients with medical insurance would be charged according to standards of medical insurance and the hospital would remit that patients should pay by themselves.

(3)Artificial lens: Refering to imported lens worth RMB 1,780 Yuan, patients should pay RMB 450 Yuan by themselves ( price difference of artificial lens). However, price difference of artificial lens would be remitted for poor patients.

V. Time of Selection

8:30 am to 15:00 pm from April 26 to April 27, 2008.

The selection would be carried out by oculists in all streets and the places would be told by the street at that time.
