On the afternoon of May 5, held by Changning Health Bureau and coorganized by Changning Disease Prevention and Control Center and Changning Maternal and Child Care Bureau and Beixinjing community health service center, the large activity themed with "preventing infectious diseases of intestinal tract like hand-foot-mouth disease"started in Suining Village, Xinjing Town where settled many guest workers.

In the spot, professionals and medical staff from Changning Disease Prevention and Control Center, Changning Maternal and Child Care Bureau and Beixinjing community health service center offered consulting services including infectious diseases of intestinal tract prevention, immunity prevention, preventive sterilization and child care and on. Many citizens came to consult with their children and asked for propaganda materials. Medical staff not only carefully examined hands, skin of foot and oral mucosa of every child and also explained preventive measures of hand-foot-mouth disease to parents patiently and gave them medicines for sterilizing. The straightaway posters attracted many citizens to look at and many children also showed great interest in it by learning correct way to wash their hands according to posters.

During the propaganda, Chief of medical prevention section of Health Bureau of the district Jiang Ping, professionals of Disease Prevention and Control Center of the district and doctors of Beixinjing health service center came to house of baby patients from Anhui to get the situation. They also ecplained knowledge about hand-foot-mouth disease to citizens living there, showed skills of sterilizing polluted things and told parents to monitor the health of children and send them to hospital as soon as possible if they get it.

Changning Disease Prevention and Control Center has given more than 10 sorts and over 3000 pieces of posters and handbooks to citizens, set up posters about hand-foot-mouth disease and malaria prevention and received about 300 consulting in the spot and more than 100 children took part in it. The propaganda promoted citizens' awareness of self-prevention and ability, smoothed the blind panic and was helpful to control infectious sources and cut spreading courses in order to prevent the development of epidemic situations of hand-foot-mouth disease in our district.
