At May 23, Vice Chief of the district Zou Longfei chaired the meeting about discussing the prevention and control of hand-foot-mouth disease in the disease prevention office of health bureau of the district. The one who were in charge of Health Bureau, Education Bureau, Bay-cared Office, Women and Children Bureau, Disease Prevention & Control Center and Health Monitoring Bureau of the district were present at the meeting.

Firstly, Health Bureau and Disease Prevention & Control Center gave an introduction to epidemic situations features of hand-foot-mouth disease in our district. Then everyone talked about understandings during prevention and control work and the imlementation and also discussed about the possible shortages in the work. During the practical and effective discussion, everyone gradually realized that preventive and control measures in personal baby-cared centers, social schools and children’s play ground should be strengthened and meanwhile dangerous causes of hand-foot-mouth disease should be explored by investigating courses of choildren’s extracurricular acctivities in order to take more pointed measures to control the epidemic situation. In the end, Mr. Zou summarized the meeting and said he thought the meeting had found out new situations and problems and he hoped that all units should emphasized the prevention and control of hand-foot-mouth disease. They should communicate more and continue to do the following work well: (1) primary schools and baby-cared centers to strengthen prevention and do proganda education among parents well and follow to monitor children’s health after school; (2) to call for more people and to have sterilization with points in the palce for children; (3) health systems to have epidemic situation monitoring, analysis, following and report well and to find out disease cause and solutions and help schools and baby-cared center to carry out work in a standard way. Besides, blind points during the prevention should be destroyed pointed propagandas should be more.

At the meeting, the next step of work also was ascertained and every unit would protect physical and psycological health of children in our district by cooperation and joint efforts.
