On the morning of May 23, 2008, accompanied by Secretary of Party and Labor Union Wu Wenjuan and Vice Chief of Health Bureau of the district Chi Jie, Vice Chief of the district Zou Longfei came to Disease Prevention & Control Center for investigating the preventive work of hand-foot-mouth disease and resisting disasters and expressing his greetings to all staff. Director Sun Chenguang of the center reported about the preventive situations of resisting disasters and hand-foot-mouth disease and preparations made by Disease Prevention & Control Center for helping people in the disastrous area. Since the earthquake happened in Sichuan at May 12, every staff in the center paid close attention to the disastrous situation all the time. In order to carry out the immune rescue in the disastrous area, more than 40 comrades in the center had signed to take part in the reserve rescue team voluntarily and would always respond to the country’s call. Besides, the center had made full preparations to make plans for immune inoculation for members of all units in our district and children from the disastrous area in Shanghai.

After hearing the report, Mr. Zou expressed his satisfaction about the quick responsive and organizing work of the district and his full approval about the patriotic enthusiasm of all staff and his cares and greetings to everyone. He told everyone the epidemic prevention after the disaster was quite difficult, so the health system must be ready for worl mentally and practically and Disease Prevention & Control Center must cooperate with other rescue team in the district. He also summarized and promoted achievements gotten in preventive work of hand-foot-mouth disease in the early stage. In addition, Mr. Zou did not forget to care about safety of the two rescue member in Sichuan and reminded officials of the center to pay attention to them and keep close contact with them.
