Cholera O-1 has been the global pandemic for seven times, and now the 7th, Cholera O-139 which has been discovered in 1992, has spread among more than 30 countries.
The first time began in 1817, from Bangladesh, India spread eastward through Southeast Asia to China, and then westward from Persia to today's Iran until the North Africa and Egypt.
The second time began in 1824, has spread to Russia with the no exception of the endemic area that spread at the first time, and continue being westward, across the European continental and enter the United Kingdom in 1831, first landed on Sunderland in the Northeast, then reached London 300 miles away after 4 months; Then, in the year of 1832, it crossed the Atlantic Ocean and swept the North America Ocean, and arrived in South America through the Caribbean Sea in 1833.
