Apoplexy is one of the common breakout diseases among middle-aged people and old people. Its morbidity is high, and the mobility and the ratio of becoming disabled is also high. 70% patients will suffer from sequelae such as hemiplegia, paralysis of hands and feet, language barrier and dementia all their life and need lifetime treatment, which will bring heavy burden and pressure to their family and society. In winter and spring, it is quite cold. During this period, apoplexy breaks out easily. After the coming of winter, apoplexy patients in hospital increases quickly. Experts warn that once apoplexy breaks out, its result is quite serious. Therefore, we should prevent it in our daily life.
Prevent early signs
There are some early signs several hours or even one month before the apoplexy breaks out. These early symptoms indicate that apoplexy is forming. If the patients or their family can find them in time and have some proper treatment, they can avoid apoplexy. The early signs of apoplexy are as follows:

Sudden tilt of mouth and eyes, salivating, talking unclearly, hard to talk, aphasia or speaking incoherently, hard to swallow, lack of strength or uneasy to move, walking unsteady or tumbling suddenly

Sudden serious headache, swirling even nausea or throwing up; or the headache and swirling is much different from before, more serious or from intermission to continuity.

Numbness of face, tone, lip or body, not seeing things, tinnitus or changing of hearing

Conscious barrier, dispirited and inert, sleepy or dazed, not acting as usual, reticent, indifferent, moving slowly or talkative and worried, sometimes temporary loss of consciousness
Fatigued, abnormal sweating, low fever, stifle of breast, palpitation or sudden hiccup, throwing up and so on

Not all the patients have all the symptoms above. But once the early signs appear, it is the alarm of apoplexy for the middle-aged and old people. When this happens, the patient should be kept quiet, and need to lie and rest on bed so as to avoid nervousness. It is suggested not to move the patient and cure him at the breakout place. When necessary, the patient should be sent to hospital with his body lying stretched out.
